Congratulations to Ela, Year 7, for performing at the recent Blackheath Music Festival in the 10-11 Years category and obtaining a Silver for her performances of 'Vals Poetico' by Granados and 'Oceans Apart' by Crosland.
During the winter break, Ella Tyler and I had the opportunity to attend the London Schools Symphony Orchestra.
We have had a wonderful December in the music department.
On November 4th, the Music Department took 44 Year 8 - 10 students to see a performance of Hercules at the Theatre Royal in London’s West End.
I had a great time at the National Children's Orchestra and I feel very lucky that I was accepted as their audition process is highly selective.
Despite being in Year 12 at the time, this was my first music tour with the school, and it was an amazing thing to be a part of.
Last week, over 70 students came together to present our annual school musical, this year being Disney’s 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame’.
On Tuesday 25th March we held our BGS Spring Concert.
On Saturday 15th March, out of 40 applicants, 8 musicians performed in the final for the Bexley Young Musician 2025.
