PE News 8/7/26

On Friday, six of our Year 10 Sports Leaders visited St John's Nursery to support their annual Sports Day.

Our students were assigned to individual teams, where they encouraged and assisted children aged 2–4 years as they took part in a range of fun sporting activities. Their enthusiasm, patience, and positive attitude helped to create an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone involved.

The day wasn't just about supporting the young participants, the Sports Leaders also joined in the fun by taking part in a race themselves, much to the delight of the children and staff!

We are incredibly proud of our Sports Leaders for representing the school so well and for demonstrating excellent leadership, teamwork, and community spirit. The staff at St John's were very impressed and even gave them a medal for their efforts!

Congratulations Year 7 Cricketers!

Well done to the Year 7 cricket team, who secured a thrilling 6-run win over Chislehurst & Sidcup in their final league game. Defending a fairly small total, the boys bowled brilliantly at the death to secure the win.

Well done! London Youth Games

Well done to our students who represented the London Borough of Bexley in the London Youth Games during the past year. Our badminton gold medal winners are an obvious headliner, but it is great to see such a broad range of sports and activities being supported by our Bexley Grammar students. Well done to everyone who took part this year.
