Author event and thank you to the PA

Unfortunately, our trip to Townley was cancelled last week, but in its place we were fortunate to be able to live stream the Carnegie Awards ceremony which took place at the Cambridge Theatre.

We got to hear from each of the authors we had read and saw Beth O'Brien win both the main Carnegie award and the Shadower's Choice award.

I had more than 30 students take part in this book club, and 96 students took part in the book clubs over the course of the year. The PA generously donated the money to buy every single book we used.

The stories inspired acting out scenes, artwork, publishing pitches and short films. So thank you very much to the PA for allowing us to run all our reading groups this year.
