Higher Level Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant

3 days per week (21.6 hours) / 39 weeks per year 

FTE Salary Bexley Scale 5-8 (£29,436 - £36,585 pa)

Actual Salary £15,191 - £18,881 pa (dependent on experience) 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated HLTA or LSA to join our caring and dynamic SEND team from 1 January 2026. This is an opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive environment which encourages professional development. The successful candidate will assist in the support and inclusion of pupils with SEND across all year groups and across all curriculum areas by working within the classroom to provide appropriate one-to-one support for individuals and by delivering school based interventions to small groups of pupils such as the Talkabout Teenagers Social Skills programme. Our students have a range of needs with our most prevalent needs being ASD, SpLD, ADHD, VI and HI. Experience in any of these areas would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to apply for the internal SEND team leadership position, which will become available following the retirement of the present post-holder at the end of December 2025.
