Thank you for your interest in Bexley Grammar School's Sixth Form. 

Unfortunately, due to unplanned circumstances, the Sixth Form Open Evening has been postponed until a later date.  

When booking is open again a notice will appear on the website and local schools will be notified.

Requirements for entry to Year 12

All students entering the Sixth Form follow a two-year International Baccalaureate programme.

Successful candidates must have achieved the following to be eligible to enter the Sixth Form at Bexley Grammar School:

A minimum Grade 5 in English Language and English Literature and Mathematics and

A minimum GCSE point score of 48 in their best 8 full GCSEs which must include English Language, Literature & Mathematics.

Point score is based on GCSEs graded 9 to 1. GCSE equivalents are acceptable.

In addition, the following are requirements for specific subjects

  • Individual Higher subject requirements: Grade 8 at GCSE to study Mathematics; Grade 7 to study Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish; Grade 6 for all other subjects. Computer Science requires coding experience.
  • Individual Standard subject requirements: Please note Mathematical Applications and Interpretation at Standard level is accessible for students with a Grade 5 or above.

The school determines which grades are required when a subject requested has not been taken at GCSE (e.g. Economics, Business Management, Theatre Studies, etc).
